AlpacaTours - A non-profit group of four New England alpaca ranches (including Acorn Alpaca Ranch) that sponsors alpaca shows and other educational events throughout the year, including the North American Alpaca Show.


The North American Alpaca Show - Sponsored by AlpacaTours, this yearly show is one of the largest alpaca shows on the East Coast with all proceeds donated to organizations committed to alpaca education and research. 


Alpaca: Breeders

Bonny Doon Alpacas - California's original alpaca ranch opened in 1984. Owner, Eric Hoffman, co-author of The Alpaca Book, offers lots of alpaca related information in this large site. Suri and huacaya alpacas for sale, fiber information, alpaca facts and history, articles, photos and more can be found here.


West Valley Alpacas - A full-service, hands-on ranch in northern California near Sacramento.  WVA's breeds and sells fine alpacas in black, gray, white, pinto and other beautiful colors. They also sell alpaca fiber, yarn and other products in their ranch store.


Mt. Airy Alpaca Company - The Mount Airy Alpaca Company is owned by Tom and Kate Perez. They breed and sell alpacas in Mount Airy, Maryland just 5 minutes from I-70 between Baltimore and Frederick Maryland.


New Hampshire

Kilblaan Farm - Kilblaan Farm has been breeding quality alpacas in the beautiful Monadnock region of southern New Hampshire


The Cria Barn at Cranberry Creek - Charlie and Theresa Birkemeier of rural Ottawa in Northwestern Ohio have created an alpaca farm with 30 plus full Peruvian Alpacas which include a color spectrum of black, gray, brown, maroon, light and medium fawn, and white. 



Fantasy Farms Alpacas - Located in Terrebonne Oregon, Fantasy Farms has been breeding colorful, quality alpacas since 1985. Owner, Susan Stackhouse has been involved in the United States alpaca business since its infancy and her site offers valuable husbandry tips and information.


Benvenuti Farm - Located in Bend, Oregon. April and Richard Angotti have a herd of approximately 60 alpacas and specialize in Peruvian or Peruvian/Chilean bloodlines.


Northwest Alpacas - Alpaca breeding farm specializing in raising suri and huacaya alpacas for sale, and alpaca business plans for breeders and owners worldwide.


Bush Garden Alpacas - Alpaca breeders in Harrisburg, Oregon offering alpacas for sale in a wide variety of colors.


Outside the United States

Silver Stream Alpaca Stud - New Zealand - Silverstream Alpaca Stud Farm offers stud services, agistment for investors, import information and alpacas for sale. Just 20 minutes from the Christchurch International Airport, Silverstream Alpaca Stud, owned by Kit and Sheryl Johnson, combines tourism with alpaca farming.


Aztec Alpacas - Calgary, Alberta, Canada - Aztec Alpacas is a partnership of two brothers and their families. After 50+ births, a couple trades, multiple sales, and an importation of 5 Peruvians (Feb '98), their current herd size is around 30.


Fiber Related

Yocom McColl - An independently owned, commercial wool testing lab located in Denver, Colorado since 1964. They test raw wool for yield and fiber diameter. They also test at various stages of the textile manufacturing process and provide individual animal testing to provide selection data for breeders.


Fantasy Fibers - Custom, exotic, fiber carding and spinning. Fibre processing, sales and blending for Qiviut, Alpaca, Angora, Llama, Mohair, Merino, Hemp and many other fibers. Processed fibres available in batts, roving or yarn.


Simpson & Company Fiberists - An online store offering all things fiber related including wool and spinning supplies. Located in Newport, Virginia.


Fiber Arts Links - An incredible list of links to everything fiber related.


Mountain Lady Yarns - A one woman business, run by fiber artist, Lynette Eads. Lynette sells Ashford spinning wheels and other fiber related products. She is available for custom knitting, spinning, weaving, and tapestry jobs and does a lot of work with alpaca.

Gentle Spirit Training - Behavior and Training Clinics for llamas and alpacas (and the humans they own) offered by Cathy Spaulding. "The Gentle Spirit Way".

Yosemite Llama Ranch - This site contains information on llamas including llama FAQs and links to llama and alpaca ranches and suppliers.


Llama: Information - offers Juniper Ridge books and videos, free llama information and stories, and in-depth links to other llama sites.

Bonny Doon Llama Packs - Bonny Doon Llama Packs are used for commercial llama packing, parade marching, weekend hiking, competitive llama racing, and cross-country llama trekking. Site offers llama packing "tips for the trail" and ordering information.
